Items in the course menu may be added, hidden, deleted, renamed, and reordered. For example, if an instructor did not plan to use the Groups area, the instructor could choose to hide that link so that it did not appear in the course menu for students.
To add a menu item, log into your course site and click the “+” sign in the upper, left-hand corner of the course menu. Note: A gray box will appear to the right of a content area until you begin adding content to that specific area.
To hide a menu item, hover your mouse over that item, click the Menu Item Options arrow that appears, and select Hide Item. A gray box with a diagonal line through it will appear to the right of the menu item to indicate that it is hidden from student view. You could also choose to Delete the item altogether.
To rename a menu item, hover your mouse over that item, click the Menu Item Options arrow that appears, and choose Rename Link.
To rearrange menu items, simply click and drag them.
